3 Simple Exercises That Really Work
By Genevieve Cunningham
Sometimes we make working out much more difficult than it has to be. We think we have to join the newest gym or check out the newest workout program. We think that it has to be complicated to work. But the truth is that sometimes simple is best. If you would like to get your fitness game moving in a better direction, take a look at these really simple exercises that totally work to boost your health and get you fit.
Jumping Rope
When is the last time that you jumped rope? This may be a simple exercise, but it's definitely not easy. Jumping rope gets your heart rate up really quickly. It also taxes the legs, and even gets the blood pumping in your arms. If you want to get fit quickly, just add five minutes of jump rope into your routine every day. You'll quickly notice how difficult it is, and you'll see a marked improvement in your cardio almost immediately.
Running
Another simple but not easy exercise is running. Whether you're sprinting or jogging, running is incredibly good for the body. It works the leg muscles, the abs, and basically every part of your body. It improves your cardio and gives you better endurance. Running can help you lose weight, tone your muscles, and get you in better shape overall. This is an excellent way to get fit, so get some running shoes and get moving.
Swimming
If you have a pool nearby, swimming can be an excellent workout. It's a little easier on the body than running, as you don't have the pounding on the pavement and instead have an easy glide through the water. Swimming helps to tone your muscles, loosen your joints, and still improves your cardio. And best of all, when you're finished you can simply relax in the water. Swimming is a great way to get in shape. So find a pool, buy a suit, and take a quick dive.
Working out does not have to be complicated. It can be simple. Use these exercises to get you moving in the right direction. With some consistency and a good work ethic, you can move your whole body towards better health and get the body that you've been working for for so long.
