5 Fitness Dates That Will Bring You Closer

April was Couple Appreciation Month. May is Mental Health Month and Physical Fitness and Sports Month. It's such a great coincidence that all of these occurrences fall so close together -- and in the spring season when the weather is beautiful. Take advantage and try some fitness dates that can help bring you and your partner closer together.

A Night of Dancing

Dancing is one of the ultimate romantic dates. Stand in each other's embrace and sway to the music. You can head to a club and dance to today's top hits. You can try a dance class where you learn new moves together. You could even plan a dancing night at home with just the two of you. Clear some space in the living room and dance to some slow songs. 

A Romantic Stroll Through the Park

Taking a walk together at any time of day can be beneficial. Pair the walk with a well-lit path in the dark and you're really taking it up to a really romantic level. Even walking around your own neighborhood can seem quite enchanting with the lights illuminating your path and your hands held tightly.

Couples Yoga

You can follow along to videos at home or join a class. Either way, the act of performing yoga together, holding hands, helping one another into the right pose, and deep breathing can all be romantic, exciting, and a great workout. Give couples yoga a try on your next date night.

Outdoor Games

Plenty of outdoor games exist. Give a few a try and see which ones are your favorites. The two of you can spend time laughing and enjoying one another's company while being competitive. See who wins the most at a large game of yard Jenga or a simple bean bag toss.

Riding horseback is a great romantic date. You'll be burning calories as you climb up on the saddle and after all the bouncing around you'll be doing while keeping your core engaged to maintain your balance. Explore a wooded area and take in the beautiful nature around you together. 

Give a romantic fitness date a try and let it bring you and your partner closer. So many options exist so every couple can find the right date for their interests. Even if you don't want to go out, your own home or backyard can make a magical date night spot if you let it.
