What you do at home has a big impact on your overall health and happiness. If you're engaging in unhealthy habits, you're more likely to feel overtired, stressed, and worse while you're at work. Some health hacks for home can help you maintain your well-being and improve your daily life.

Use a Standing Desk

Many people have desks in their homes for one purpose or another. Make sure yours is a standing one. Sitting down for hours can lead to pain and health problems. You should incorporate a standing desk into your home office, garage, or workspace so you can avoid the many problems that come with a sedentary lifestyle.

Snack on Fresh Veggies

You may not enjoy the taste of every vegetable, but there's got to be at least one you don't mind eating. Don't try to mix it into something else or cook it up to be able to eat it. Snacking on fresh, raw veggies is actually better for your body. You'll get more of the nutrients. It can even help with your mental state. Crunching on raw carrots, for example, can help occupy your time and your mind and decrease your stress levels.

A pillow is one of the filthiest things in your home. Most people wash their pillowcase, but not the pillow itself. It harbors far more germs than you realize. It's already recommended to replace your pillow every year or two because of how flat and unsupportive it becomes. You should really stick with an annual replacement though so you can be sure you're sleeping on something that's supportive and not full of germs. Make sure you wash it often as well. You'll sleep easier.

Replace Phone Time With Activities

Don't sit on your phone for hours once you arrive home for the day. You should fill your time with activities you enjoy that actually benefit your mind or body. Looking down at a phone will leave your neck aching. Playing a card game, reading, or exercising can boost brain activity. 

These simple changes can make a big difference in your life. You want to remain as healthy and well as possible for as long as possible. Keeping these "health hacks" in mind can help ensure you meet that goal and feel your best every day -- or at least most days.
