Anemia Problems May Be Addressed at Breakfast

By Tom Herrin

It seems as if many people suffer from some kind of anemia.  Most know of it as being pretty common for women and teenage girls.  This may be the nature of the way their bodies work.  It may be seen at the supermarket as advertisements call attention to the problem and purport to have some solution.  The fact is that some of this may be avoided by having the right kind of food on their daily menu.  Since people tend to have quite a bit of variety in their meals throughout the day, they may need some consistency to tie it together.  Breakfast is an ideal time for this, and it is the one meal that may be the same just about every day without risking being burned out.

It May Stop Sugar Cravings

Many people get hungry during the day before the next meal.  Sometimes this is a desire for some kind of sugary snack.  While it may simply be habit, more often it is caused by some desire for a food that is not met.  When people eat a breakfast including some healthy fruit or juice, they can get the right kind of sweets with nutrients without those empty calories that come with some of the poorer substitutes.

It May Help the Immune System

Taking in citrus fruits or juices can be a good start toward boosting health along with satisfying the desire for sweets.  The Vitamin C contained in these can be difficult to replace.  Anytime people can take in antioxidants, it appears to help significantly in the fight against many diseases.  More and more, research is showing the connection between these antioxidants and good health.

It May Help with Avoiding Anemia

Anemia is a common problem many people suffer from.  As previously mentioned, many females suffer from it at times.  Others may as well for no apparent reason.  I remember a student I had at one time who was a pretty good athlete but seemed to run out of energy all of a sudden.  It was determined that he was very anemic.  Treatment was begun, and he made quite a good recovery.  Many people may be able to avoid this situation.  A good breakfast can be a great way to begin the day.  Eating one with the right nutrients may be all it takes to create that jump-start.  A good supply of vitamins supplied by healthy fruits can be a great contribution to that breakfast.  Determine what your body needs, and devise a breakfast that works for you.
