Always Tired? This Might Be Why
By Genevieve Cunningham
Sometimes fatigue feels like a constant part of life. It feels as though we will never know what it's like to have energy ever again. While it's completely normal to sometimes feel tired, there's no reason that you should feel exhausted all of the time. And if you do, there's probably a good reason. If you find that you are more tired than you should be, take a look at these reasons why it might be happening followed by what you can do about it.
You’re Not Eating Well Enough
Diet is so important. If you're not eating well, then you're probably not getting the proper nutrients to help your body grow and thrive. This means that your body must take energy from wherever it can get it. This often leaves us feeling drained, run down, and exhausted. So how can you fix this problem? Try altering your diet to include fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats, healthy snacks, and plenty of water. A small change in your diet might make all the difference in the world when it comes to energy.
You’re Dehydrated
Dehydration is a really big deal. We don't realize how important water is until we are without it. But if we want our bodies to function as efficiently as possible, we must keep it hydrated. When we don't, we may feel tired, achy, and moody. In order to change this aspect of your health, make sure that you are getting at least eight full glasses of water a day. Carry around a water bottle, and sip as much as possible to keep your body hydrated.
You’re Stressed
Stress can do a number on our health. It can give us headaches. It can cause aches and pains. And it can also make us feel exhausted. It's definitely hard to escape stress. It seems as though we have stressful moments no matter which way we turn. If you believe that stress is causing your fatigue, try incorporating a stress relieving activity every day. This might include a hot shower, a yoga class, or an hour with a good book and a glass of wine. Do what it takes to lower your stress, and you may find that your energy rises as a result.
It's really OK to sometimes feel a little tired. We all lead busy lives and and we push our energy reserves to the max. If you are experiencing excessive fatigue, take a look at these aspects of your life and see if they need an improvement. With some small changes to your health, you may be able to get your energy back and feel better than ever before.
