I was born in Torrance, California, and grew up in Rancho Palos Verdes, where I still reside today. Having spent my entire life in this beautiful area, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the community and its surroundings.

My introduction to chiropractic care came through my experiences as a youth soccer player. Whenever I faced injuries, chiropractors played a crucial role in my recovery. It was during these treatments that I realized the incredible depth of knowledge chiropractors possess regarding the neuromusculoskeletal system, along with the precise skill required to perform manual therapy effectively. From middle school onward, I set my sights on a career in this field, ultimately choosing to pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

I earned my doctorate from the Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, graduating with honors in 2024. Before that, I completed my undergraduate studies in biological sciences at the University of California, Irvine, where I graduated cum laude in 2021.

My first role as a licensed chiropractor will begin in April 2024 at The Joint in Torrance. What I love most about this profession is the ability to relieve pain and improve patients’ conditions using nothing but my hands. While chiropractic care is physically demanding, I find the work incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.

Outside of work, soccer is a significant part of my life—I enjoy both playing and watching the sport. Living close to the beach, I often visit at sunset to take in the scenery, and I’m always on the lookout for new places with beautiful natural views. While I don’t have pets or children yet, my girlfriend and I are planning to get married soon.

If I had to pick four dream dinner guests, they would be Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, Luis Enrique, and Pep Guardiola. As a dedicated soccer fan, I would love the opportunity to learn from some of the greatest minds in the sport.

One of the most adventurous things I’ve done was taking a solo trip to Colombia without a set plan. Flying alone to a country where I had limited communication skills at the time was daunting, but it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. I learned that people are usually willing to help you if you are genuine, and that every new place on earth has so much to offer. I personally found the terrain, food, and history of Colombia to be my favorite aspects of my trip. The trip gave me confidence in my ability to navigate the world independently and embrace new cultures. If I could visit any country right now, it would be Venezuela, where my girlfriend currently lives. I would love the opportunity to experience her home country through her perspective.

When it comes to personal skills, I have a strong memory for numbers and patterns. This ability has helped me master solving Rubik’s cubes, memorize 50 digits of pi, and learn multiple languages. I’m fluent in English and Japanese, highly proficient in Spanish, and currently learning Korean as my fourth language.

Although I don’t drink alcohol, I always enjoy happy hour for the appetizers—especially wings, onion rings, and flatbreads.

While I don’t associate with any specific causes, I strongly believe in treating everyone with respect and equality. I aspire to contribute to making the world a more positive and inclusive place. If I had to sum up my personal philosophy as a motto, it would be to always seek the positive in every situation. I believe that viewing challenges through a constructive lens not only makes them easier to handle but also allows me to appreciate the journey that has led me to where I am today.

From middle school onward, I set my sights on a career in this field, ultimately choosing to pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

I earned my doctorate from the Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, graduating with honors in 2024. Before that, I completed my undergraduate studies in biological sciences at the University of California, Irvine, where I graduated cum laude in 2021.

My first role as a licensed chiropractor will begin in April 2024 at The Joint in Torrance. What I love most about this profession is the ability to relieve pain and improve patients’ conditions using nothing but my hands. While chiropractic care is physically demanding, I find the work incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.

Outside of work, soccer is a significant part of my life—I enjoy both playing and watching the sport. Living close to the beach, I often visit at sunset to take in the scenery, and I’m always on the lookout for new places with beautiful natural views. While I don’t have pets or children yet, my girlfriend and I are planning to get married soon.

If I had to pick four dream dinner guests, they would be Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, Luis Enrique, and Pep Guardiola. As a dedicated soccer fan, I would love the opportunity to learn from some of the greatest minds in the sport.

One of the most adventurous things I’ve done was taking a solo trip to Colombia without a set plan. Flying alone to a country where I had limited communication skills at the time was daunting, but it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. I learned that people are usually willing to help you if you are genuine, and that every new place on earth has so much to offer. I personally found the terrain, food, and history of Colombia to be my favorite aspects of my trip. The trip gave me confidence in my ability to navigate the world independently and embrace new cultures. If I could visit any country right now, it would be Venezuela, where my girlfriend currently lives. I would love the opportunity to experience her home country through her perspective.

When it comes to personal skills, I have a strong memory for numbers and patterns. This ability has helped me master solving Rubik’s cubes, memorize 50 digits of pi, and learn multiple languages. I’m fluent in English and Japanese, highly proficient in Spanish, and currently learning Korean as my fourth language.

Although I don’t drink alcohol, I always enjoy happy hour for the appetizers—especially wings, onion rings, and flatbreads.

While I don’t associate with any specific causes, I strongly believe in treating everyone with respect and equality. I aspire to contribute to making the world a more positive and inclusive place. If I had to sum up my personal philosophy as a motto, it would be to always seek the positive in every situation. I believe that viewing challenges through a constructive lens not only makes them easier to handle but also allows me to appreciate the journey that has led me to where I am today.

    I used to love coming to this location. The young women at the reception desk were always very kind and helpful. I could come in most days of the week and see Dr. Lehnberg, who is my preferred chiropractor at this location; At some point a few months ago, something changed and Dr. Lehnberg was only there 1 day each week. Since this change, I've driven on my lunch break on 2 separate occasions and the doors are locked. The establishment is just closed during business hours. I heard the business was purchased apparently whoever owns it now sucks at their job.

    There is only 1 chiropractor on duty at a time so the wait can be very long. The Chiropractor I like to do my adjustments now is only working one day a week (previously four) which is really inconvenient. He is the best there is.     Today’s experience was a complete 180 from the last couple of months that I’ve been going the Joint for my monthly adjustment! Before today, I would wait up to 45 minutes - 1 hour to see a chiropractor. There would be barely enough seating in the waiting room. Today - I was brought right into the back and saw a chiropractor without a wait. I was in and out of the storefront within 10 minutes. Today I went in around 11:30am (Thursday), so I can’t speak for Sunday’s or other days I’ve previously avoided because of the long waits. Glad to see improvement, I’ll be back more often!

    I to give this location the lowest review possible. I have been a joint customer for years and have visited many locations. I have tried to get my girlfriend in for her first-time visit at this location 4 times in total. First as a walk-in, twice with appointments and again today as a walk-in. There was no one in the waiting room, and they still refused to see her. The last time they couldn't meet our appointment, they offered the first visit for free, but its a moot point when its impossible to get seen. Its beyond frustrating and the girl at the front desk couldn't care less. She said we could make an appointment to be seen a week from now even though they did not keep the last two we made with them.

    The front staff are really great with their customers, they've been so accommodating whenever I call, especially Jake. I've been in the lobby waiting to be seen and the staff is consistent with their customer service and they work with their patients so they don't miss sessions that'll expire.     Having somehow made it 50 years without seeing a chiropractor is beyond me I think there’s a lot of fear and uncertainty around chiropractors after casually mentioning to my buddy that my hip was hurting. I was subsequently fed days and days of chiropractors ads throughout all social media ,a place called the joint popped up Since I’m based in Los Angeles I thought it was funny so I clicked it ended up with an appointment for today went and saw Dr. Dan , the whole process took about 30 minutes. I feel much more educated about the entire process now , after a quick alignment I’m sitting at home feeling a lot better , signed up for their monthly plan. Figured I’d give it a shot for six months or so.

    PATIENTS BEWARE. This place deserves ZERO stars. At first the staff appear to be friendly and professional, but that quickly deteriorates. I was to be a new patient and booked an appointment time online. I arrived 15 min early and filled out the forms as instructed. I sat patiently waiting until a practitioner (the owner?) called on me. At this point, I had been waiting for 35 min. As I stood, he tells me to "hold on" and then proceeds to tell me that they're running out of time before they're scheduled to go for lunch. He asks if I can come back in 45 min. Yes, you read that correctly. After waiting 35 min already, he wanted me to come back in 45 min! How unprofessional and absurd! If you're running behind you need to tell patients ahead of time and ensure they're seen BEFORE you prioritize your lunch. ESPECIALLY when they've booked an appointment and been waiting for 35 min!! This place should be ashamed of their behavior and the way they treat patients. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!

    Overall the chain “Joint Chiropractic” has some flaws that I would like to outline: No appointments - This needs to be fixed from my point of view. Have an app and book it (Easier solution) Walk-in -> Sometimes doctors are not there, you can know about it only after reaching the place (I might need to to drive 15 miles for this info) One time I called the front desk and ask about their availability and she said you can come in and didn’t say they are packed. After I reach they said the next 30 mins the doctor is busy and they they are taking 45 mins lunch break (Again I wasted 15+15miles and my time) This happened on multiple location - Inglewood and Pacific Coast Hwy. I would say go for less visits and don’t get attracted to monthly payments - not worth the time and drive. Stay healthy and exercise! Good if you are ok with early morning visits!

    My first experience with The Joint was fantastic. I arrived at the San Pedro location but unfortunately the doctor could not see me for an emergency and was sent to the Torrance location to be seen. San Pedro is only 10 minutes from my house so I was a little disappointed but life happens. I was greeted by Imari at Torrance who was absolutely lovely. She was so sweet and gave me a great tour. Dr. Lehnberg was so patient as I explained my aches and pains. He gave me exercises to strengthen muscles to help with problem areas. He was also very knowledgeable as to why these pains were happening. And man, my bones cracked! It felt amazing! I got instant relief in my shoulder blade pain that I had for 4 years. I’ve only been to Pedro and Torrance and everyone (including Jake at San Pedro) were wonderful. Highly recommend The Joint! Thank you so much for my great experience!!

    I walked into Joint Chiropractic and I was in severe lower back pain and I have been in extreme lower back pain for over a year, searching for relief everywhere, trying everything. I have been to many chiropractors over the past year, but this was different, I was not sure what to expect, but was hopeful as I always am going to see a chiropractor, I saw their ad on Instagram and thought to myself, 29.00 includes exam and treatment let's go, if it didn't help, there is no commitment. So like I said, when I walked in I was in extreme pain and had a hard time walking and getting up from my chair, I am a landscaper by trade and thst wears on my back. Let me start by saying the follow up by Emari was great she called me to see if I had any questions, she also told me that their office is a walk in office, which for me is perfect because of my schedule. Bonus 1, 2 she was very helpful upon arrival. Dr. Standifer saw me as I tried to get up from my chair and said let's get you fixed up and WOW did he ever, in all my years of going to chiro, I was always told twist and Crack was the only way, well Dr. Standifer changed all that for me with "Traction". After one session I got up from the table and for the first time in over a year and a half, I had absolutely NO PAIN or Stiffness in my back. I I was not sore after treatment at all, I am amazed still, and went back again yesterday and got treatment again. So as you can hear in my text I am so thankful for Dr. Standifer and Emari and frankly I never thought I would say Instagram but I am.     The Joint Chiropractic is a corporate chain providing drop-in chiropractic adjustments, with multiple and conveniently located retail offices in shopping centers throughout California and spreading across the U.S. They meet a sweet spot of convenient locations, regular hours, affordibility, professionalism, and care-consistency (I've beeen to four locations as an indication of uniformity), and I can drop into any location as needed (my record is in their confidential computer system. Dr. Standifer works in the Torrance location and is the best chiro I've ever had, even among chiros who take my insurance. The prices are comparable to paying copays to my regular insurance company so I do not involve my carrier. Also! I could not recommend Dr. Standifer more highly to new patients. He should be experienced if you need real results from a chiropractor. 11 STARS

    Out of all of the Joints in South Bay, I'm actually glad I started living closer to this one. Dr. Standifer the best Dr. that I've had so far. He really makes sure my adjustments last for at least a week. He's very personable and always has an awesome attitude. I highly recommend getting adjustments from him. He's in from Weds-Sat. There are new doctors since Dr. Yamamoto left, but he was also the other great one. I'm not sure how the new doctors are because I'm very happy with Dr. Standifer lol. Depending on the time of day, you may have to wait about 20 mins. They often get new patients so those take awhile. Just make sure you time your adjustments during the non-busy times.

    Dr. Brown was awesome, and she made me feel really comfortable. She was friendly and not like other chiropractors where they're like robots and just go to work and call next. She was very considerate and I prefer her to my previous male chiropractors at other locations. Just felt safer, I think I'll choose this location everytime in the future.

    Dr. Francke at the Torrance location is a godsend. If I could give ten stars, I would. I came in with this horrible headache and pain in my neck. She took me in as a walk-in at the end of the day on a Sunday, and she took so much time for me, going well past closing. She listened to everything I said and didn't rush me at all, unlike a lot of doctors I've seen recently. She asked a lot of questions to get the most accurate diagnosis possible, and she explained why she was asking and what she planned to do. She made sure I was comfortable with everything she wanted to do, and was so kind and compassionate, it almost made me cry. I love her so much. I went in feeling terrible and walked out feeling better than I had in 7 weeks. I trust her wholeheartedly and will continue to see her regularly. I'm so grateful to her. I've already recommended her to a close friend and will continue to recommend her to everyone who asks. She is the best chiropractor, and a truly wonderful person.

    I always go to David cause he has magic hands. He's helped my sister, my mom, and myself and I couldn't thank him enough. I literally only go to him cause I trust him the most and he always makes us feel important and takes his time with us and is always careful and shows that he cares too. Knowing that he's leaving is sad, but it's bitter sweet knowing he's going on to bigger and better things. Overall an infinity/10!

    Came here on a Sunday afternoon and saw Dr. Yamamoto. I was in a lot of pain (upper back, neck and jaw) but walked out feeling so much better!!! He communicated really well about what he was going to do before doing it each time so I didn't have any surprises. I was really stiff, tense and crickety crackety, which is usually scary, but I felt at ease here and will definitely be back! Everyone was friendly, guy behind the counter was super nice. They have really good package deals with a $29 new patient special, $45 for a single visit after that. Then there are other packages you can buy ranging from $89 to $499 so visits with those packages can come out to ~$23-35 each. And open 7 days a week?! Amazing. Highly recommend!

    I am 28 and I had really bad sciatica. It was so bad I had to use a walker to be able to move around because of the pain. I needed help to use the bathroom and to get dressed. It was that bad. I got so desperate for relief one day I went to the joint chiropractic in Torrance because my friend had recommended them to me. David Yamamoto has been helping me out and he literally has magic hands. It's only been two weeks and half since going and the difference is amazing. I've had 5 adjustments so far and I can walk around normally and I can actually sit down without any pain. I still have a little bit of pain, but it's practically nothing and I feel better everyday. I cannot recommend them enough. Seriously if you feel like you tweaked something and are in pain, trust me, you want to go to them. Keep in mind that it may hurt to get better, but the bit of pain I felt during the initial adjustments was nothing to what I was going through. Now at my 5th adjustment it didn't even hurt.

    The first time was great! The second time I came they closed an hour early. I’m here again on my 3rd visit and they are not even open yet. It’s 30 minutes past the open time. Extremely dissatisfied & considering canceling at this point.
