Sometimes Bare Feet Are Best

By Tom Herrin

When we think we have come to the point in which we are all grown up and sophisticated, we may find that we are going down the wrong path.  After all, we worry quite a bit about what we should and shouldn't wear.  For each occasion, we want to have the right kind of appearance.  There was a time for most of us when we didn't worry so much about being dressed right but wanted to feel good.  Back when many of us were kids, we may have spent our fair share of time going barefoot.  We probably enjoyed it and felt pretty good about it.  There may have been more reasons that simply youth for that as walking barefoot may have some good benefits.

Walking Barefoot May Relieve Stress

Even though we may not be aware, walking barefoot may help us to get in touch with nature in more ways than one.  It is believed that earthing, as it may be called, can help to balance electromagnetic charges we come into contact with so often.  Earthing can help to offset this with a negative charge.  Doing this may help to truly relieve stress and anxiety.  It is thought this may improve our emotional and physical health.

Walking Barefoot May Provide an Energy Boost

Even though we may be unaware of it, we may truly receive a boost in our energy as we come in contact with the earth with our bare skin.  As kids, we probably noticed it but thought little of it.  As adults, it may do a lot more good than ever before.  As we tend to be drained by all of the things we come in contact with in our daily lives, we may rid ourselves of much of it by walking barefoot.

Take off Your Shoes and Go for It

There is no reason to be inhibited about taking off your shoes.  All you have to do is do it.  Almost everyone enjoys the feeling of grass on their feet.  It is pretty special.  Many feel that it may help to regulate our biological rhythms.  These control our basic processes such as sleeping, eating, and other things we do as second nature.  Be adventuresome and take off your shoes and go for it.  You may be surprised at what a difference you feel after a short time.
