Chuck Shoes for Better Health
By Tom Herrin
Did you ever ask yourself what could be something you may be able to do to improve health that has absolutely no cost and takes the least amount of effort? We all look for that magic formula, and the truth is, we may not ever find something that simple. There are, however, a few things that may come pretty close. One of those is walking barefoot. While it may sound a bit too simple, it seems to offer a little bit of hope for those of us searching for an easy way to make a difference. It is not one of those unknowns because most of us spent a little time doing it when we were younger.
Walking Barefoot May Be Good for Biorhythms
Anytime we refer to our biological clock, we are talking about biorhythms. They help to establish many of our patterns. They affect our sleeping, eating, and activity times. When they are in good order, we are healthier and more energetic and productive. When they are out of sync, we may find ourselves tired and unable to function as well as we would like. There is evidence that walking barefoot may help to improve our biorhythms.
Walking Barefoot May Reduce Headaches
Many of us suffer from problems related to stress and tension. Some of this may be the result of too much exposure to electromagnetic fields and radiation. Apparently walking barefoot may help us to be literally grounded in that we may be able to have contact with the earth's negative charges. This may help to balance our charges. Some of these things may be wreaking havoc on our bodies and show up affecting us in some serious ways. For many, migraines can be almost crippling and limit our ability to work efficiently.
Back to Nature Can Feel Good
If nothing else, walking barefoot can make us feel more natural all around. I particularly enjoy feeling the grass beneath my feet. It is a little exhilarating. It can give that feeling of freedom. Whether it is a real effect or just my imagination, walking barefoot outdoors seems to make me feel as if I have more energy. Being uninhibited can be good anytime. If you want something simple and inexpensive, you can't go wrong by walking barefoot. It doesn't cost anything to try it.
