Plan For Successful Days
By Donna Stark
Do you wake up each morning knowing where your day is headed? Do you know exactly what you need to accomplish in order to move in the direction you want to? Do you have a daily plan? Sometimes it is easy for us to allow the distractions and the busyness of life pull us off course. Sometimes our good intentions are just that ... intentions. And sometimes we simply waste a lot of time getting absolutely nothing accomplished. Sound familiar? If it does, it's time to start paying more attention to how you spend your time, and the easiest way to do that is to plan out your days.
Plan for Successful Days
As technology advances, our days should be getting easier, right? Well, maybe for some, but for others, it only means there are more ways to get distracted from what needs to get done. How many times have you checked your phone for something and found yourself still scrolling 45 minutes later? Not a very effective way to get through your day, is it? Here are some suggestions on how to plan a well-balanced day that will help you accomplish both work and personal goals. Take a look.
- Plan your meals - Planning your meals before the week starts is a huge time-saver and stress reliever throughout the week. It's also the best way to make sure that you are giving your body the nutrition it needs.
- Plan for breakfast - Taking the time to prepare and consume a healthy breakfast is the perfect way to start your day. You will be able to fuel your body with great nutrition, enjoy some quiet moments before the busyness of the day starts, and mentally prepare for all of your tasks ahead.
- Plan your work - If you want your day to be manageable, you need to schedule the big things, such as meetings, appointments, calls, etc., but it is just as important to schedule those time-draining "distractions" as well! Keep certain times set aside that are only used for answering your notifications or checking your email. It's also very important to plan several breaks throughout the day.
- Plan your workouts - If working out in the evening runs into your family time too much, then plan to work out in the morning or over lunch. Be realistic with your fitness goals and how much time you will need to schedule for your workouts.
- Plan your personal time - Whether this is alone-time or family-time, you need to schedule in your times to relax and enjoy life.
Managing Your Life
Incorporating what is important to you is critical for your daily plan to be effective. So take the time to prepare yourself for tomorrow, and end the day with tremendous success!
