The Right Temp May Help Weight Loss

By Tom Herrin

A lot of people have a pretty tough time trying to manage anything in their lives that help the quality of it.  This notion of quality may well involve things that they do on a daily basis or are affected by some of these little things.  Many become frustrated by what may seem to be efforts that meet a dead end.  It is often considered that the best indoor temperature for most people is from 60 to 80 degrees.  There appear to be ranges for different things that are thought to be optimal.  As a result, it may be possible to manage some of these things they do by managing temperature.

There Is a Right Range for Sleeping Well

Trying to find a way to sleep better is something that a large number of people deal with on a daily basis.  Some who have studied these issues believe that there is a range of temperatures that may make sleeping well much simpler to attain.  That range is 65 to 72 degrees.  It may be due to the fact that some people sleep better when it is cooler and they use more covers.  Some people even use weighted blankets to help them.  Another good reason may be that Rapid Eye Movement may be disrupted in warmer temperatures.  The sleep cycle itself is a critical part of getting restful and beneficial sleep.

Weight Loss May Be Supported by Temperature

Losing weight is often a losing battle for many individuals.  It can be frustrating for them to see virtually no progress as they try.  Some studies have found that temperature may be able to play an important part in successful weight loss.  The range is pretty specific at 64 to 67 degrees.  Another thing that is interesting is that, when people shiver, they may increase their metabolism.  As a matter of fact, it may cause them to burn calories at a rate as much as five times the normal rate.

It Is a No-Brainer

Most of us would love to have something that may save our efforts.  I have always had some trouble sleeping, so I turn down my thermostat each night when I go to bed.  I feel that I am better able to go to sleep and stay that way.  When I was younger, I slept best in the cold when I used a heavy quilt to cover me.
