Butternut squash is a common site to see during the fall. With Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and other vital nutrients found within it, this food is a healthy choice for any menu. The fiber content makes the vegetable ideal for digestion. It is also a good source of potassium useful for energy. Butternut squash is harvested in the fall but keeps well for several months, which is why it is sometimes named the winter squash. It can be consumed from fall until winter.
Pumpkin is the more popular choice for fall foods. With big and small versions sold at stores, orchards, farms, and by local sellers, there is plenty for everyone to consume come fall time.
