Family fitness is always a good idea. The healthier habits you have as a family, the healthier each member can be on their own. But considering the wide range of people that make up any particular family, keeping everyone healthy can feel like a challenge. So what do we do? How do we keep everyone moving without sacrificing all of our time and energy? We do it together! If you need some ideas for getting your whole family moving at the same time, take a look at these ideas that you can start as soon as today.

Walking

Walking is a good choice for the entire family. Because it's low-impact, you can take everyone from the littlest members to the oldest. You can do it anywhere -- in your backyard, at the park, or on a trail. You don't need much equipment, it doesn't cost any money, and it's really easy to complete. How could it possibly get better? If you want a really easy way to begin family fitness, walking is probably one of your best options. 

Games

If you have kids, one of the best ways to stay fit is through games. Kids like to play, so why not play with them? Grab a soccer ball, basketball, or baseball and go outside for a friendly game. Or you could play horseshoes or croquet. It doesn't take a lot of movement to get everyone moving in the right direction. If you like the idea of having some fun with your kids in the midst of an incredible workout, cycling could be a good choice.
