Miraculous Cases of Vision Recovery With Chiropractic
By Chris Brown
Personally, vision is one of the most precious of all senses. Those who develop vision loss, either slowly or through a traumatic event, lose a key component of experiencing the world. A study published in 2016 in the Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences found that 40 percent of blind students suffered from depression in addition to low self-esteem and anxiety. Unfortunately, in many cases, vision loss is irreversible. However, chiropractic has shown that, in some instances, it can not only stop further vision loss but can restore it altogether. When it occurs, this recovery can be as quick as a single chiropractic adjustment (although achieving maximum vision recovery is usually a multi-week process). With these miraculous findings there is no reason not to give chiropractic a try for recovering one's sight.
Chiropractic's Miraculous Vision Recovery
Whether chiropractic can help with vision recovery seems to depend entirely upon the causal factor. Scientific reviews point to many instances where vision recovery was possible in cases where the vision impairment occurred following trauma to the head and neck region or optical nerves. This makes sense, as chiropractic manipulations are designed to correct disfunctions in the spine and optimize nerve function. The correction of these dysfunctions may mean miraculous vision recovery for impacted individuals if the reason for vision disruption is due to a disrupted nerve.
Case Studies of Chiropractic Successes Restoring Sight
In two instances, one where a patient experienced extreme vision loss following a fall and another of a 25-year-old patient who lost her vision from terminal glaucomatous retinal damage, degrees of vision restoration following chiropractic adjustments was experienced. The fall victim was able to regain full vision in her eye after 20 chiropractic treatments over seven weeks. The 25-year-old, who only underwent four chiropractic treatment sessions in the study, saw her vision restoration go from 2 to 20 percent of the normal range. For both, improvements were seen immediately following spinal manipulations. These bursts of vision restoration are exaggerated in the instance of a 9-year-old who lost vision as a direct result of a spinal injury. She found immediate recovery of her normal vision following a single chiropractic treatment.
