Dr. Andre Santangelo is the Clinic Director and Primary Chiropractor for The Joint Wilmington-Mayfaire. He has been enjoying treating patients in Wilmington, NC since 2002.
Dr. Andre Santangelo has more than 14 years of experience in family practice, fitness and personal injury. He specializes in wellness care and injury prevention, treating patients from infants to seniors; utilizing full-spine and extremity adjusting, posture correction and corrective exercises.
He is trained and is proficient in Diversified, Thompson, Activator, Upper Cervical, Gonstead adjusting techniques. Patients have seen and experienced great improvements with a wide range of health complaints including: headaches, back pain, hip pain, sciatica, knee pain, shoulder pain, etc.
As a teen, Dr. Santangelo experienced the positive results from Chiropractic adjustments first hand. What started as care for a lower back injury developed into lifetime wellness care and improved health and functionality. Besides being more balanced for sports and activities, the asthma that had plagued him every winter ceased to exist. Having a mechanical background, the decision to become a chiropractor and work on the mechanics of the skeleton just seemed natural to him. Dr. Santangelo got his Associate's degree from Pennsylvania State University and then his Bachelor's degree from Excelsior College. He went on to get his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic, in Spartanburg, SC.
Dr. Santangelo promotes a lifestyle of wellness care with a mission to help people improve their quality of life through routine and affordable chiropractic care. Dr. Eric Clay was born and raised in Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada. Grand Bend is a tourist area, where thousands of people in the summer come to enjoy the beaches and beautiful sunsets.
He attended National Chiropractic College (now University of Health Sciences) in Chicago, Illinois. Upon receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Clay started practicing family chiropractic in Buffalo Grove, IL for 15 years, learning to serve all types of patients and cases, including headache/migraine relief, sciatica pain, neck pain and lower back pain through the use of manual manipulation.
Dr. Clay moved to Wilmington 2 years ago and is enjoying being back in the sun and surf. He looks forward to helping as many people as he can live an optimal pain free life and is excited to be a part of The Joint family.

Dr. Argo was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. After completing undergraduate studies in Biology at East Carolina University, he worked in the biotechnology field for 5 years in San Francisco, California. He earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 2010. He has been practicing in North and South Carolina for the last 11 years.
Dr. Argo enjoys cooking, exercising, and healthy eating. When you can’t find him here at The Joint you will find him spending time with his girlfriend in Wilmington and family in Charlotte.
