You Have the Ability to Maintain Healthy Skin

By Tom Herrin

Some things regarding our health are beyond our control.  Anytime we may have the ability to take action that may protect it, we will likely be well-advised to do so.  For many years, a large portion of the population did very little to support healthy skin.  Some probably thought it was something for women only.  At least, they were the ones who seemed to care about smooth and soft skin.  In recent years, we have seen many more individuals act to keep their skin in good condition and maintain it as well as possible.  We have learned that forming a few good practices may be the best way of keeping our skin healthy.

Get Rid of Stress

Too many of us find ourselves under stress much more than we should.  As we become busy trying to balance all of the things we deal with each day, we often create lots of anxiety for ourselves.  Managing stress can do more than help the blood pressure and support better sleep.  It can also help our skin to be healthier.  Many people suffer from issues related to their stress.  It can cause numerable skin problems such as psoriasis and eczema.  We all recognize the way it affects our faces.

Do a Facial Massage Daily

A lot of us never give a thought to a massage for our face.  We may think of that as something for those who do such as being too soft, and not in a good way.  A facial massage can help to relax the muscles in our faces and increase circulation as well.  This may improve color and make us appear fresher and more youthful.  It may also increase the elasticity of the skin on our faces.  You may find that practicing this can help you to have much more confidence in your appearance.

Be Sure to Get Sleep

We all have a tendency to skip sleep in order to get more things done.  The notion of getting ahead can drive us to a point in which we become really tired and barely unable to function.  Making a point of getting seven or eight hours of sleep per night may help to make our skin appear softer.  We may also have fewer wrinkles.  Sleep is the time in which our body makes repairs for things that may be damaged.  The skin is no different.
