She received a full athletic scholarship to play basketball at Elon University and graduated with a BS in Exercise Sports Science with a minor in Health Education. While at Elon, she also joined the track team for its inaugural season and was the 1st recipient of All Conference Honors for Women’s Track and Field in the shot put.

Observing different health care professionals throughout her time in college led her to pursue Chiropractic. During a chiropractic internship, the chiropractor helped her decrease and prevent future injuries. From then on she was hooked. Not only did chiropractic help improve her sport performance; she also noticed a decrease in headaches, medicine usage and improvement in overall health. Dr. Mariam graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a BS in Human Biology.

Before joining The Joint Chiropractic in 2022, Dr. Mariam owned and operator her own clinic in Lewisville TX, with her sister Sharon in 2008. “Helping her patients function at their highest level is extremely rewarding! Seeing the joy on a patient’s face when they reach their health goals, never gets old!” Dr. Mariam says.

Dr. Mariam loves to spend time with her family and friends and is a certified foodie! To her surprise, she has been the primary chef in my family. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities.
