A Trip to the Zoo: How to Keep It Healthy

Bringing along a water bottle can serve as a reminder to drink too, because as you get lost in the fun of the zoo it can be easy to forget. 

Apply Sunscreen Throughout the Day

Anytime you plan to spend time outdoors it is necessary to apply sunscreen. This can help prevent sunburn and sun damage. Research suggests that when the skin is damaged by the sun it increases the chances of developing skin cancer. It is advised that you apply sunscreen prior to leaving the house, as well as throughout the day while enjoying the zoo. This is one healthy habit you and your children can benefit from.
