Advice of Super Healthy People: 3 Habits to Start
By Virginia Laird
Have you ever wondered what sets apart those who are considered to be super healthy from others? While you may not see a difference in simple appearance, there can be many things that set them apart. Health and wellness experts suggest that those who are considered to be super healthy take the healthy lifestyle seriously. They stay active and are constantly making sure their choices are in line with their desired results. The super healthy are the ones who skip out on the sweets and treats more often than they consume. While many would like to be among this crowd, finding the right steps to take in that direction can be a struggle. Some of these super healthy people have offered a few tips to help you get started in the right direction, including:
- Exercise often
- Make it a priority to eat right
- Get your annual preventative checkup
Exercise Often
Making time to exercise is a game-changer in the world of getting healthy. Some of the many benefits include managing weight, strengthening the heart, and building strong muscles, among others. Fitness professionals advise that those who want to be super healthy should exercise at least 30 minutes four to five times each week. These workouts should include some cardio as well as weightlifting.
Make it a Priority to Eat Right
Eating all things sweet and tasty in sight is off limits when you are one who wants to be counted among the super healthy. Instead, your diet should consist of plenty of veggies, some fruit, and lean protein only. Most who are overly healthy avoid red meat at all costs. Another thing to consider when you are trying to be extremely healthy is what you drink. Avoiding soda, juices, alcohol and any other beverage that may be full of sugar (and carbs) is a must. Rather, your beverage of choice should be water, and plenty of it.
Get Your Annual Preventative Checkup
Another thing that those who are super healthy do is go to the doctor. Making sure to keep your annual preventative checkups is a must. These are designed to catch illnesses and diseases before they wreak havoc on your body. Skipping out on these can prove to be detrimental to your health. If you haven’t already, start making these appointments a priority right away. Most are free through your insurance.
If you are ready to be counted among the list of those who are super healthy, now is the time to begin making change. Becoming one of these will take time, so be patient and willing to work hard. However, know that with determination, anything is possible.
