Dust Off the Taste Buds for Good Health
By Tom Herrin
At times, striving for better health feels like being told to eat cardboard. It isn’t the taste that matters but the results. For sure, there are lots of things people do to try to have better health. It does require a conscious effort. Educating oneself is important. Depending on the direction people want to go and what they are trying to address, the list of things is long and large. One of the age-old things to add to a diet to see improvement is garlic. While some people probably have a bad impression of it due to odor, others embrace it fully to play a big part in helping to improve their health. For those who are a little afraid of the odor, there are odorless supplements available.
It May Improve Immunity
Garlic contains the substance allicin, which is believed to have both antiviral and antifungal properties. It even seems to help kill some bacteria. Many people all over have used garlic for years as a means of boosting their health and keeping away disease. While they may not have understood why, they saw good results and used it consistently.
It May Help Deter Neurological Problems
In recent years, much has been said about diseases that affect the brain’s function. Problems with dementia and certain kinds of processing appear increasingly common. This may be partially due to the fact that people live longer or those who have other problems are able to prevent their problems from getting worse. Either way, garlic shows some good signs that it may be able to work well with the body to delay or deter development of some of these dreaded problems.
It May Be Good for the Liver
For as long as I can remember, people have used some kind of treatment for the liver. It has always been known to be an organ that can play a big role in health. Garlic appears to help to combat non-alcoholic liver disease. This is something that may be associated with the metabolism. When the liver has issues, health will usually decline in a hurry. Protecting it is worth a lot. If you are looking for that small thing to produce some good results, try adding garlic to your meal preparation. We use it in all kinds of breads and dishes.
