I visited The Joint Chiropractic office in Surprise for the 1st time. I hadn't been to a Chiropractor in over 4 years and needed one badly. Since I was new to the area, I took a chance with this place. I knew what needed attention and was pleasantly surprised with Dr. Alvarez as she did a very thorough evaluation of what needed to be adjusted and even a few places I didn't know were out of whack. She adjusted me and advised me to come back in a day or two for another adjustment since I was so tight. What's nice about this office is you can walk in without an appointment so you can fit it into your schedule as you need an adgustment.

I had been seen years ago for some specific issues regarding my neck and some nausea I was experiencing. Was a great visit, and my needs were taken care of. Went back a month ago to see if I could get an adjustment, I was experiencing some bad headaches for a week and noticed one shoulder sitting higher than the other. The chiropractor did some weird tests, and sent me out to get some X-rays. Said he was concerned about a possible neurological issue, and told me to get the images on a CD. He would see me back the same day if I was able to do that. Seemed kind of off to me, I didn't think chiropractors were qualified to interpret X-rays, but I went along with it. Got my X-rays, and went to the Goodyear location next day with my CD because it was closer. The chiropractor at that location told me that not only do the CDs not work to view the images on their computers, but that they had to wait on- guess what- a radiologist's report of said X-ray images. Which could take 3-5 days. All while I'm nursing 800mg of Ibuprofen to just be functional. So why did the chiropractor at this Surprise location say he could see me the same day? After that I cried in my car and just gave up. My headache went away on its own and my back straightened itself out. I asked the girls at the Goodyear location for a manager's contact information, sent out an email, and got nothing back. I guess the silver lining was that I didn't pay for any of these appointments I made. I just wasted my time and suffered driving around in pain for no reason.

From the moment you walk into the clinic to the time you see Dr Tyler it's extremely friendly. Dr Tyler is so professional and helpful. I've had tendonitis in both my arms and with in 4 treatments I feel very grateful I found this clinic. He's suggested things to try for my inflammation in my body because it's at an all time high right now and he's been helpful in making suggestions to try other services elsewhere to help with my health. I love a seated cervical adjustment and this one is by far one of the best I have ever received! If you have never had your neck adjusted seated give it a try. Truly a great experience all around. Hands down one of the best chiropractor offices I’ve been to. Dr. Rich (off Bell Rd.) is excellent at adjusting my upper and lower back. Very friendly staff and I like the convenience of just walking in instead of having to make an appointment (this may not be convenient to everyone though.) The packages make it the cheapest chiropractor care I’ve ever paid for over my lifetime. There is a bathroom for patients and the offices located off Bell Rd and Waddell Rd. There’s a decent sun cover with a bench at Bell Rd. while waiting for the office to re-open at 2:45. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!?

My family has been seeing Dr Tyler since the Joint opened in Surprise. And we absolutely love him. He has helped my sciatica issues and my husband's lower back. We recommend Dr Tyler because he always takes his time, asks questions and he always gives us stretches and things we can do to continue in our daily wellness. Dr Tyler also takes such a personal interest in each of us, and we often talk about traveling, food and Asian culture. Listen to me which is something I am not use too. Went in not able to move my neck or left shoulder without severe pain. Zac did amazing. While I am still soar it's not as intense as it was. The front desk carefully made sure I understood the fees, and and process. I'm posting this here as I'm not sure how either Google or The Joint would otherwise get the message - Earlier today at about 11:00 AM Google maps showed "less busy than usual," and yet when I went for an adjustment the wait was about 40 min for me and the staff told the next person 45 min or over an hour for the other doctor. The waiting room was very full when I left and yet Google was still showing "not very busy," on the map information. I don't know how that data is communicated to Google but something is not accurate. Re the Joint specifically, doctors = FIVE stars! Great. Front desk staff - meh, learning to speak with respect and kindness to customers would go a long way. For the business overall, as a paying customer on a monthly plan, it's pretty frustrating to often have to wait so long. I could just make an appointment somewhere if I wanted to wait. I went on Thursday of this week - TWICE - and was told, "we are not taking any more patients," even thought it was 30 min before lunch closing and 41 minutes before evening closing.

My son was visiting from Florida where he visits The Joint regularly. He has told me I should go here, as it helps him tremendously. He was getting on a plane later in the day, and wanted an adjustment before he left Arizona. The Surprise location is closest to our home. He walked up to the desk, let them know he had a membership in Florida, and was told to take a seat to wait for a doctor. We waited at least 20 minutes, and then he was called back --only to be told by the chiropractor that he couldn't touch him before paperwork was filled out. We went back up to the desk, where we were told by the receptionist she ASSUMED paperwork would have been sent to his phone to fill out. She never mentioned to us that anything needed to be filled out nor did she hand anything to us to fill out. He was in a bit of a hurry, and was then he handed about 20 pieces of papereirk to complete. Couldn't this have been done while we were sitting there for 20 minutes waiting to see a doctor?! If you are a receptionist, isn't it your job to check in patients and be sure they are ready to see the doctor?? Chiropractors may be great at this location, but clearly the staff seems inept. I may have to drive further, but I will find a different location to go to where the staff cares and does what they are hired to do.

I have been a member of The Joint for over 8 yrs and I’m happy for all its growth in business but it has turned into a nightmare like going to MVD. You have to blindly show up and wait; which can be several hours. All this growth but leadership continues its same business practices. There are many ways to remedy the check in process and these long wait issues but for some reason management won’t do anything different and what might be best for the patients. Also, now the two busiest days of the week that most people are off (Saturday and Sunday) The Joint decides it’s best to now be closed on Sundays too. Wait what?? So now many people are trying to be seen on just Saturday. So what does the leadership at The Joint do to address this issue they caused? Absolutely nothing! There is only two doctors working on Saturdays and they also on Saturdays still take new patients evaluations too! New patient evaluations take a doctor at least 30 mins . So now you have one doctor working at that time to service everyone! The Joint leadership needs to do things better logistically for their paying patients. Unless they just don’t really care about their customers/patients and their time too.(like MVD). This is just becoming ridiculous! Just saying …Fix yourself leadership!

If I could give zero stars that would be more appropriate. We drove over 13 hours from Calif to AZ. Hubby was sore and stiff when we got there and a little later he felt like it maybe it was a pinched nerve that was hurting and we were told to go to this joint. We got there a very nice receptionist took his first name and said the Dr would call us back and get some information and it shouldn’t be long. About 10-15 minutes. Dr. Came out and the receptionist said next one is a Medicare consult. Hubbys back was hurting and he was sore and stiff. The Dr asked his pain level. He said Sometimes it’s a 5 sometimes a 7 right now a 9 or 10. She was already talking over him didn’t hear about the 13 hour drive straight through or the different levels. No exam no other questions said she couldn’t help. Go the urgent care. Said they couldn’t help anyone in pain. They would have to have an X-ray first they didn’t do them there. Funny thing son in law, daughter& grandkiddo have all gone there. Son in law was in so much pain and muscles very tight. Needed a massage prior to be worked on but still in pain and they worked on him Would NEVER recommend that person claiming to be a Dr. or any where she would work. Didn’t listen and just talk over you. She didn’t want to hear anything you have to say and would not answer any questions . Yea she should have -stars

To anyone who sees Dr. Nick, please read. Especially if you have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I went in for an adjustment, and my lower back was cracking really easily with little force needed from him. Because of this, he deemed it appropriate to say “wow, I wish all of my patients had EDS!” During the same visit, I asked if he thought a specific rib didn’t stay in, and instead of doing his JOB and physically checking, he just told me I was fine. It was completely empty with no patients. He had plenty of time to check if it stayed in. I drove away in a lot of pain, and decided to come back and see if he could try to adjust it. After thinking about his comment, I told him that “EDS joints go in really easily, but that also means they come out really easily, and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Telling someone that they wish all patients had their diagnosis is pretty rude and unprofessional.” In response to this, he laughed at me to my face, shook his head, and then told me to get on the table. I have dealt with ableism since being diagnosed at 13, and over the past decade have worked hard in accepting the fact that my peers and the public will be ignorant to my pain, because they don’t know what EDS entails. That’s fine. But this entitled, sad excuse of a man went to SCHOOL for this. Of all people, he should know that EDS is a horrible and excruciating genetic disorder. I would not wish EDS on anyone. Even jokingly. Especially to someone suffering with that diagnosis? And as a “Dr”, he shouldn’t do that either. A medical professional should never wish such a severe diagnosis on someone…ever. Pretty common sense I’m afraid! I hope he learned bedside manner in his chiropractic program, but it’s obvious he is not willing to apply that knowledge. He is representing this business and should know better at his literal place of work. This display of ableism is completely uncalled for. I know that The Joint will reply to this attempting to apologize, but it truly would be a massive waste of time to do so. A better use of your time would be to no longer have him practicing at your business. This type of behavior is not the type of representation you want.

Very disappointing experience at the joint. 2 stars because Dr. Nick was good both times I saw him. Although I didn't get any relief from the treatment he made it a positive experience. However, I came in to the joint with elevated pain and really needed some help. I was turned away with a response from the front desk that even though they didn't close for an additional 40 minutes they weren't taking anymore patients. As a walk in chiro this is disappointing because they don't have an appointment system. I called ahead for my first visit and was told we could make an appointment. Unfortunately, it was still a significant wait as they treated it as a walk in appointment (this is why I draw the conclusion of no appointments).

The entire team is personable and welcoming! You’re greated as soon as you walk through the door and the ladies at the front desk are usually very accurate with their wait predictions. Dr. Boyer did a thorough and thoughtful intake and the first adjustment was an interesting yet enjoyable experience. I haven’t been very kind to my body over the years and it would take some work to get things straightened out so Boyer gave me four free visits with my first month so that we could really get things moving. Each visit after that has been even better than the last. I’ve seen almost the entire staff of clinicians and have had a good experience with each and every one of them! They all do extremely well but one that stands out to me is Dr. Rich for the method he uses to crack my back… it’s very effective! Thanks everyone! See you next week!

Joint chiropractor is really awesome! I recently resigned from my job and didn’t have insurance anymore. But I was looking for a good chiropractor to correct my posture as well as getting rid of headaches, neck / back / knee pains. At first I was hesitant about this place. But Dr Tyler was wonderful. My back / neck / knee gradually started to fell better. Dr Nick and Dr Austin were also so awesome. They did way better job than the chiropractor that my insurance had to pay $150 per visit in the past. Later my husband had a crooked neck. He has Medicare and had gone to several chiropractors covered by Medicare. But I persuaded him to try the Joint chiropractor because I felt that they did better job than his chiropractor. After the first visit with Dr Austin and Dr Nick, he decided to start the treatment at Joint Chiropractor even though he has to pay out of pocket. Rates are very reasonable. * First visit is $29 or $19 (military) * Membership is $79 for 4 visits per month (plus 3 free visits for new members) or $69 (military). The only downside is that this is a walk in facility. Sometimes the wait time can be long. We try to come at different days and time hoping that the wait time is not too long.

Service with doctors good. The waiting game is a joke. Very seldom is there all three doctors available. I would go at random times hoping Lobby would not be full. No such luck. Monthly fee for four visits is not worth the time that is wasted sitting and waiting. Many months you will not get your four visits. They must think all people have all the time in the world to wait. I canceled my membership beginning of February. I was told Regional Manger would call me. No such call happened. Membership fees continue to be withdrawn from my account.

2 weeks ago I started to have back pain. I was in a car wreck 15 years ago and have several issues with my back. About 1-2 times a year my back will go out completely and I can't walk. 2 weeks ago I couldn't get out of my car because of the pain. Typically it takes about 2 or 3 weeks to feel relief. Dr. Nick, saw me. First day was painful but the next day was was drastically better, but still in so much pain. He took the time and explained everything he did. Dr. Alyssa Boyer is amazing, I went to a chiropractor at another practice previously and they actually made my back worse. I was really skeptical to try another one but I was hurting so bad that I had to. Dr Boyer was gentle, she told me everything she was doing, she was kind, I was really impressed with her. When I initially walked in I was in so much pain I couldn't even stand straight. After Dr. Boyer adjusted me I was able to stand straight. My sharp stabbing pains are going away and I'm just feeling the sore pains from the process. Highly recommended if your back is hurting.

Dr Tyler is the best. I had gone to a different chiropractor the day before coming into The Joint. They did a massage, X rays, and the Chiropractor couldn't even perform a manual adjustment. He had a little table that did only one adjustment. I left there feeling no better and had a $200.00 bill. The next day went to the Joint. Dr Tyler spent 30 mins working on me and I went home feeling great. He did explain the severity of my situation and I know this. Every year about this time I have this lower back pain. I have scheduled myself for additional treatments and this last treatment showed way more improvement. Dr. Tyler is excellent and very thorough. You can't afford to loose him.

Dr. Serio is great the staff is nice and I've had positive experiences coming here and it has definitely helped ease my pain. I have been a member of The Joint and have visited many different locations, but I had the worst experience with this location today. We checked in with no mention of a LONG wait. As we waited numerous people came in that had checked in, gone to grab lunch etc… us at and least one other woman kept getting bumped down to accommodate those that left and came back. After an hour we checked on our status and were told it would be another 25-30 minutes to be seen. We left and will go to the one on Litchfield. I’m sure the doctors are great, but the check in system needs work. It was not on the computer but on a paper list that could be manipulated.

This was my first visit to The Joint Chiropractor, I was very nervous considering I had seen the same Chiropractor for 20yrs which had recently retired. My sister recommended Dr Tyler at the Suprise office . My husband and I went in to see Dr. Tyler, he made us feel so comfortable and explained his every move and recommended a routine to get us back in tip top shape. He did not push anything on us and was very friendly and good at what he does. We will definitely be returning to see Dr. Tyler. I have to say , being in pain and trying to find a Chiropractor you can trust is a scary thing. Dr Tyler was very nice,friendly, and easy to communicate with, i felt comfortable, which I think is very important when looking for a Dr. Thank you Dr Tyler. The only complaint I would have is that adjustments/maintenance is not performed in private rooms. That will not keep me from going back though.

On a different note- When I first arrived, the waiting area was packed with several other people and there was a man in line at the front desk but there was no one there to help or greet him. After several minutes, a woman finally came back to her post. She was friendly and helpful (to all in the waiting area) but it was odd that it was unmanned for so long. Do not recommend this place at all!!! Went in around 12:30pm today and they had a semi crowded lobby. They cycled through everyone and then new walk-ins were taken back while a couple of us sat waiting. I have no idea how they manage patient flow...and it appears neither does the staff. One issue, they appear to have more office staff than practicioners. Will not return to The Joint anymore! I have had several bad experiences here. 7/23/21 Decided to try again to go here, at least an hour wait and short practitioners again! Nothing has improved.

I liked that I could walk in and be seen quickly! Dr Rich took care of me the first time and when he was a bit puzzled about my symptoms he consulted with another doctor. My back "went out" on a Saturday. I started to search for a chiropractor in my area, and found out that The Joint was open on Sunday, no appointment necessary. That was my first pleasant surprise. This is a busy office. No appointments are made, but they keep people moving through without making the patient, or at least me, wait very long or feel rushed. I see Dr Rich; he's just great at adjusting and he's exceptionally informative too, about treatments and other tidbits of holistic care. But, there are several other doctors that seem to have very loyal followings. The cost for treatment is very reasonable, even if you pay treatment by treatment. The Wellness Package is priced well so patients get regular body treatments without horrible budget shocks. I'm so happy I found this group...and if you have the Wellness plan, and you're out of town, you can see a local facility if convinient.. Highly recommend the Surprise / Bell location.

Let me start off by saying, I don’t normally do reviews. I really had to share this with everyone because it has helped me so much & maybe it will help someone else who has back and joint pain. I Started going to the joint in July 2019. I suffer from primary hyperhidrosis and I don’t take medication for this, so for me this is one of the most effective ways I get relief from my medical condition. I can think clearer when I get adjusted, have less anxiety and my overall mood is great. The receptionists are welcoming and friendly, and the doctor's take the time to listen and show compassion for their patients. The doctors have also even emailed me different effective stretches that I needed to work on, which I find very helpful. I have been seen by Dr. Rich & Dr. Nicole. They both have helped me maintain the relief from my neck and hips that I need. Outstanding doctors! I go about 2-3 times per week and It is definitely worth it.They do a fantastic job!

Good service! Staff practices safe hygiene (Drs wear masks and have paper for the face area on the manipulation tables). I feel comfortable and safe going there. Drs do a good job of treatment too! Onky thing that could be better ... in these germ conscience times... is someway to get into the office area without touching the door handle. Doors swing out so exiting by using your arm or shoulder works. In know it's hard to maintain cooler indoor temps with leaving the door propped open, weather permitting a door stop propping open would be good. Faster service than the drive thru at the In and Out! ??

My husband visited this Joint and an elderly person attempted to adjust his neck. She ended up "frogging" the one side and when he complained she stated"just because you don't hear a POP doesn't mean it didn't work. She then grabbed him to attempt to adjust going the other way and the same thing happened. He was in so much pain when he left there, SHE will never TOUCH him again. He is a frequent patron of the Joint Chiropractic Centers but will NEVER again be seen by this Elderly Lady. I highly suggest all stay away from her should you visit this center. Simply Re-Schedule your visit or go to another one.

Nope. Not going back. Bad first impression. Doctor rushed. Didn't feel like he listened to my problem. His adjustments were way to hard and frankly quite painful and very much rushed. I'm 5"4 130 pounds, gentle was not in the experience. I received a bear hug adjustment by a doctor who was sweaty, smelled bad and slammed me down so hard it knocked all the air out of me and hurt my chest. I was so dumbfounded I didn't even dispute when he circled "relief" for my first visit. I left in tears, came home showered, washed my clothes, iced my back and took Advil.

The Chiropractor we have had treatments for several years, is very good. Unfortunately, the administrative staff that we have had to deal with in the last 4 months, caused us many agonies. They do not tell the right things. We are Canadian Snowbirds. Similar pathetic handling by the Corporate Office in Greater Phoenix occurred. Messages were left on March 7 at 4.20 pm, an another message left today, Mar 11, at 12:10 pm. Despite saying that they will call back within 24 hours, they simply do not call you back. If I could give them ZERO stars I would. Sat in the lobby for 30 minutes waiting while multiple people came in and got helped right away. I will not be returning. **edit** Was having alot of pain at work so I figured I would give them another shot since they're so close but they wasted my time again. Call beforehand to get the wait time and was told 8 minutes, I arrive there and magically the wait has changed to 30 minutes.

If i could do a zero star review I would. So about 2 months ago I was in this location and after waiting 30 minutes and a lobby full of people a new client comes in and gets to go in front of everyone that's been waiting. I left a review following that incident and my next visit the Dr. called me back to the office and asked me to change my review because they got in trouble for it and tried to explain why one person's pain is more important than another's. So i change the review and go back in today. Well guess what happened again. I was waiting this time for 20 minutes, I was next up, and a giy walks in, checks in, and gets called back next. Looking thru the reviews there is another client that has had this happeb as well, so its not an isolated incident. This location obviously needs to learn how to take clients in the order they come in. As this location is the closest one to my house I am going to cancel my membership and find a chiropractor that actually cares about the clients.

I have lupus and fibromyalgia i went to the joint for pain in my back and hips. I was really impressed by the friendliness of the front desk staff, I saw Dr. Bisko and he was not only friendly but very knowledgeable. I really appericated the time he spent explaining things to me. I would definitely recommend this location and I will be coming back.

Moving to a new place and having my back go out on a holiday weekend was a recipe for disaster, but finding The Joint Chiropractic in Surprise, AZ was a godsend. I've had two visits thus far, one with Dr. Bisko and Dr. Tyler and their expertise has removed virtually all discomfort from the trouble area in my lower back. Their being there during a holiday weekend and being able to walk in and say "please fix me" and getting instant results was amazing. When I started going to The Joint, I was experiencing chronic sciatica nerve pain on my lower back and leg. I had difficulty sitting comfortably and was always hurting.
