Born and raised in Hamilton, NJ, a suburb of Trenton, Dr. Reid discovered his passion for chiropractic care early on. He earned an Associate of Science degree in Biology from MCCC in West Windsor, NJ, in 1984, and continued his education at Life University/College of Chiropractic, where he graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1988.

Dr. Reid's professional journey began with a year of practice in Atlanta, GA, before he established his own successful practice in Tifton, GA. He finds great joy in helping people improve their well-being, believing wholeheartedly in the body's natural ability to heal itself. He lives by the mantra, "The power that made the body heals the body," and is passionate about removing barriers to health for his patients.

In his personal life, Dr. Reid enjoys spending time outdoors and supporting youth sports, particularly with his three children: Ethan (14), Andrew (12), and Laura (10). He received his doctorate of chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic.

Dr. Kelvin, as his patients call him, is excited to be part of the team of local chiropractors serving Jacksonville.

"One of the best aspects involved with being in the field of chiropractic is the ability to offer an individual pain relief, allowing them to get back to the activities that they enjoy without the use of medication," he says. "The other thing that's gratifying is the opportunity to meet so many people from various backgrounds."

When he's not working, Dr. Kelvin likes going to the movies and building remote control cars with his son. Dr. Kelvin and his spouse share three beautiful dogs Jordan, Zane, and Tank.

Dr. Kelvin says the one thing he always has stocked in his refrigerator is milk, and the reason is pretty obvious, "I don't like dry Frosted Flakes."

If he sat down with any four people from history to create a dinner party of his dreams he would include media mogul Oprah Winfrey, Disney CEO Robert Iger, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates. "I would like to have a dinner party with these individuals due to their public reach and employee base," he says. “I would discuss the benefits of chiropractic care in relation to employee productivity and decreased time off due to musculoskeletal issues. My aim would be to get each of these individuals to offer chiropractic care for all of their employees with The Joint Chiropractic as a national partner provider."

Although he may not be very adventurous with his cereal, that's not necessarily the case out in the world. "The coolest thing I have ever done is hike to the top of Mt. Quandary in Colorado," he says. "With an elevation of 14,265 feet, this is the highest that I have ever hiked. If I were to ever do it again, the only thing that I would change would be the time of year: hiking to 14,000 feet in the middle of winter is terribly cold!"

One of the coolest experiences of Dr. Nolan’s life was becoming a Cutterman in the U.S. Coast Guard. It was a defining achievement that connected him to the lore of the sea and the deeper meaning of service.

Dr. Amari Battiste is a passionate chiropractor who joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2025. She began working at the Jacksonville clinic in September 2025 and is excited to bring her skills and energy to the community.

Dr. Amari earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from Claflin University in 2017 before graduating with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in 2021.

For Dr. Amari, the best part about being in the chiropractic field is helping patients improve their quality of life. She often says, "We need to be here for a good time and a long time." She also loves educating her patients, empowering them with knowledge about their health and wellness. Her journey into chiropractic began after witnessing the challenges her mom faced following back surgery, which inspired her to pursue a more natural path of healing and relief.

Before moving to Jacksonville, Dr. Amari practiced in Memphis, Collierville, and Bartlett, Tennessee; Southaven, Mississippi; and Fleming Island, Florida. Raised in Kingstree, South Carolina, she has a strong passion for caring for people and helping them live healthier, fuller lives.

When Dr. Amari isn't adjusting spines, you'll likely find her traveling, cooking, trying new restaurants, watching wrestling, singing, working out, or playing softball. A must-have in her fridge is oat milk for her daily coffee, and one of the coolest things she's ever done was taking a private cooking class in Florence, Italy, where she learned to prepare a full-course meal with a professional chef. She even framed her certificate as a keepsake of the experience!

If Dr. Amari could invite four people to her dream dinner party, she'd choose Jesus Christ, Harry Styles, Barack Obama, and Beyoncé—a mix of inspiration, leadership, music, and artistry.

Though new to The Joint, Dr. Amari says what excites her most is the welcoming atmosphere. "Everyone I've met so far has been really nice and enthusiastic about chiropractic," she shares. She's looking forward to serving the Jacksonville community and helping patients reach their best potential.
