Meet The Doctors
Dr. Omid Sehat, known to many simply as Dr. Omid, is a true healthcare hero. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA, he graduated from U.T. San Antonio in 2008 with degrees in Human Biology and Kinesiology, and further pursued his studies at Logan College for his Doctorate of Chiropractic. He has dedicated his life to restoring the health of others through his remarkable treatment. In his line of work, Omid gets to experience the incredible healing powers of the body every day – what he calls “miracles” – alongside his loyal patients.
In his spare time away from the office, Dr. Omid loves spending quality time with his four children and high school sweetheart, Rachel. He’s also an avid fan of martial arts, exercise, trading, reading, and coffee made with almond milk. Witnessing the difference chiropractic care was able to make in Rachel’s life only further solidified this calling, as her weekly debilitating migraines and asthma medication became things of the past!
If Dr. Omid could have dinner with any 4 famous people they would be Albert Einstein, Jesus, Socrates & Buddha – an epic mental feast indeed! Despite being afraid of heights, one of the bravest things he has done was propelling himself down a colossal 100ft rock face – proving that no challenge is too big for this passionate healthcare professional!
Dr. Joshua Atherton has been with The Joint since 2022 after getting his Doctor of Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College (’21) and his Bachelors in Kinesiology (University of Houston, ’17). To Dr. Atherton, the best part about practicing chiropractic is helping his patients get out of pain. Dr. Atherton has known chiropractic was his calling ever since his third year of chiropractic school when he recognized the magic chiropractic. “My days in-clinic were amazing because I helped so many people,” he says.
When Dr. Atherton is not practicing, he enjoys playing golf and basketball and spending time with his wife Rachel, who is a civil engineer. Dr. Atherton grew up in Spring, TX and has also practiced at the Moody Health Center in Pasadena, TX.
