Dr. Marque Jackson is a Diversified Technique and Activator certified Chiropractor that believes a mobile body is a healthy body. The power of a chiropractic adjustment helps keep the body functioning at its optimal level; which ultimately leads to an enhanced quality of life. Dr. Jackson worked as a Wellness Coach at the YMCA where he found his passion for health & fitness. It was during this time he discovered the power of a chiropractic adjustment and how it can benefit your overall health & wellness.
Dr. Jackson is from San Antonio, Tx, and moved to Dallas Texas in 2019 to begin chiropractic school at Parker University. Before chiropractic school, Dr. Jackson played collegiate football at Millsaps College. However, he later graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in Biology & minor in Kinesiology. Go Coogs!
Dr. Jackson is dedicated to improving his patient's quality of life by educating the public on the importance of wellness and living an active lifestyle. Many health problems in our community can be prevented with a proper diet and physical activity. Some of his personal pleasures are weightlifting, going on walks, spending time with family/friends, and watching sports.
Dr. Alvarez earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science & Pre-Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) in 2017, and in 2021 received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Zoe has attained certifications in both Selective Functional Movement Assessment & Animal Chiropractic. Dr. Zoe is a firm believer that both humans and animals can benefit greatly from routine chiropractic care.
Dr. Zoe utilizes a high-velocity, low-amplitude manual thrust for her adjustments. She is also qualified in the following techniques: Activator, Gonstead, and Diversified. Her dedication focuses on her patients, attaining their optimal level of health and performance through individualized chiropractic care.
Dr. Zoe’s interest in chiropractic grew shortly after she began an internship with a chiropractor who shared the benefits of routine chiropractic care with her. Dr. Zoe was amazed by this new holistic way of caring for patients. She believes routine chiropractic care is an important biomechanical factor to provide optimal function & mobility to the spine. Dr. Zoe’s goal is to provide a proactive approach to health.
Dr. Zoe was raised in Miami, FL, and has actively participated in a variety of sports—volleyball, tennis, and swimming. Since moving to Texas, she has taken to the very popular sport of pickle ball. In addition to sports, she enjoys camping/hiking with her husband and dog.
Dr. Samuel Jumbo became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2023 so that he could serve residents in the Waxahachie area.
“I have always been someone who desires to help others and I am ecstatic that the chiropractic field has helped me accomplish this,” he says. “A lot of patients who come in with pain leave feeling better or have complete cessation of pain altogether. This is why I love chiropractic. I get to help patients who are experiencing pain heal, and I am always overjoyed to be a part of that process with the patient.
“I also love chiropractic because it is a holistic approach to healthcare, which is a rarity in today’s healthcare system. We use a noninvasive approach to treating patients, which is a safe and careful approach to healthcare. Chiropractic affects the central and peripheral nervous system, which is the basis of all other organ functions in the body.”
Dr. J, as he is known to his patients, worked previously in Cedar Hill. A native of Dallas, he says it “helped me to have a deep appreciation for natural health and it is the city where I made my transition to a vegan lifestyle.”
In his spare time, he enjoys reading about current events and natural medicine, and likes the outdoors and experiencing nature. He earned his doctorate of chiropractic from National University of Health Services in Lombard, Illinois. He got his bachelor’s degree in university studies from University of Texas at Arlington.
“I knew that chiropractic was for me when I started liking natural medicine and seeing how effective chiropractic can be on diverse patients,” he says. “My cousin and my uncle, for many years, have been chiropractors, so I have seen a lot of instant pain relief and fantastic outcomes from chiropractic care.”
His own patients have experienced instant pain relief from sciatica, difficult breathing, shoulder pain, headaches, migraines, muscle spasms, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis.
In Case You Didn’t Know
Although he has a strong interest in the politics of African nations and would love to chat with leaders such as Marcus Garvey, Kwame Nkrumah, Patrice Lumumba, and Sylvanus Olympio, some more mainstream figures from history that would provide a fascinating afternoon of discussion would be Jesus Christ, reggae legend Bob Marley, inventor Nikola Tesla, and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King.
Dr. J says that switching to a vegan lifestyle in 2010 was one of the best decisions he ever made: “It has provided me with so much clarity and a great interest in natural medicine, and I have been an advocate for natural medicine since then.”
Dr. J says the two most important items in his kitchen are raw dates and raw cashews. “I like tons of fruits, salads, and raw vegetables,” he says, “but dates and cashews are a must-have.”
His favorite book is Working the Roots: Over 400 Years of Traditional African American Healing “because it discusses different modalities that assist with the process of natural healing.”
