Dr. Maria Radcliffe became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2020 when she began serving residents in the Coral Springs area, where she continues doing the work she finds so gratifying.
“The thing I like best about being in the chiropractic field is empowering others to live to their full potential,” she says. “It’s rewarding. Every day you learn more and more about the healing power of our own bodies.”
Dr. Maria, as she is known to patients, was raised in Lockport, Ill., where she worked previously. She enjoys family time at the beach with her husband -- also a chiropractor -- and their son.
At Benedictine University outside Chicago, she majored in biochemistry molecular biology with a minor in math, and at Life University in Marietta, Ga., earned her doctorate of chiropractic and graduated magna cum laude.
She finds humor in the way she found her way into the field. “My father is a very successful chiropractor in my hometown,” she says. “I wanted to do everything but follow his footsteps until one day, while going through the interview process for medical school to become an OB/GYN, I was told that all my answers were holistic and did I ever consider being a chiropractor. I laughed -- and never looked back. I now specialize in pediatrics and prenatal.” She appreciates working at the Coral Springs clinic location because of “all the wonderful people I meet and having the chance to serve them to the best of my ability.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Maria says she always keeps cheese and avocados in her kitchen: “I have an obsession with both.”
If she could bring together any four people from history, she would love to sit down with Jesus, entrepreneur and Impact Theory creator/host Tom Bilyeu, Pope John Paul II, and basketball star Michael Jordan. “I have so many questions for Jesus,” she says. “I met the pope once and he had the most loving eyes -- when you looked into them you felt peace. From Michael Jordan I want to know how and what it takes to accomplish all that he was physically and mentally.”
The most wonderful experience of her life was a natural home birth. “I have to say it’s the coolest thing I have done because not only was I fully present for every second of the beautiful birthing process,” Dr. Maria says, “but also it was my biggest challenge that I was afraid I could never achieve.”
