Dr. Alexa Brandt, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Davie

The Davie clinic location is proud that Dr. Alexa Brandt joined its team in 2021 to provide important healthcare services to the local community.

“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is helping patients live a more pain-free life,” she says. “It is very rewarding to interact with so many different people. I love meeting new people and being a small part of their lives. Getting to know my patients and having a fun patient-doctor relationship is a great thing about being a chiropractor.”

Dr. Alexa, as her patients call her, is originally from Denver, Colo., and shares her home with her pizza toy-loving shih tzu, Nike, who: “gives the best hugs and is my best friend.”

She attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Fla., where she received her doctorate of chiropractic. She previously earned a bachelor’s degree in health sciences at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., where one of her notable areas of study was leadership.

“I was injured while playing college tennis and the only thing that helped me to become pain-free was chiropractic,” Dr. Alexa says. “I knew then that I wanted to help others feel that same way.”

One of her favorite memories with a patient took place with a woman who was in so much pain during her first visit that she was crying: “By her fifth visit, she came in and said she couldn’t thank me enough because, after years of pain, she was finally pain-free.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

Given the opportunity to share dinner and conversation with any four people from history, Dr. Alexa would include tennis player Serena Williams, South African president Nelson Mandela, actor Steve Carrell, and author Lisa Jackson. “Serena is my favorite tennis player and I think she’d be a fun dinner guest, and I would love to ask Mandela how he stayed so kind even in light of all the different people in the world,” she says. “I love Steve Carrell’s movies and he’d keep the dinner funny. I’d love to know how Lisa Jackson keeps creating such good mystery books.”

Dr. Alexa is a huge fan of tennis player Andre Agassi’s autobiography, Open: An Autobiography. “It shed light on the inner struggles of what a professional tennis player goes through,” she says. “It really opened my eyes to how to stay positive even in the most difficult time.”

Dr. Alexa says her go-to snack is Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, and the best advice she ever received came from her mother: “She always tells me to live life with no regrets, everything happens as it should. This helps me to stay positive and show kindness to others.

Witnessing the rapid improvement in his own health, Dr. Lorenzo redirected his career path from medicine to chiropractic, embracing the holistic approach to wellness.

Dr. Lorenzo's commitment to his patients extends beyond mere treatment; it's about restoring and enhancing their quality of life. He takes pride in witnessing the profound impact his adjustments have on individuals who have exhausted other avenues for relief. Raised in Miami, Dr. Lorenzo's journey into chiropractic care wasn't conventional. However, his personal experiences illuminated the profound value of chiropractic in enhancing overall well-being. Alongside his passion for chiropractic, Dr. Lorenzo finds joy in diverse interests, including movies, golf, culinary experiences, and unwavering support for Miami sports teams.

In 2000, Dr. Lorenzo crossed paths with his wife, Lina, in New York City, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together. They exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony in Colombia, honoring both their cultures, followed by a joyous celebration with Dr. Lorenzo's family in Miami.

Family holds a special place in Dr. Lorenzo's life. As a proud father to a 17-year-old daughter, who dreams of pursuing education at UCF, and an 11-year-old son, excelling in karate and music, Dr. Lorenzo cherishes every moment spent nurturing their passions and witnessing their growth. Their household is completed by their beloved pets – Cooper, a Maltese Poodle mix, and Cinnabun, a charming Cockatiel.
