Dr. Keyariee Cooks-Nixon is a passionate and dedicated chiropractor at The Joint Chiropractic, located in the Sawgrass Square shopping center in Sunrise, FL. She is excited to serve the South Florida community, offering compassionate and effective chiropractic care to a diverse patient population. For Dr. Keyariee, the most rewarding part of being a chiropractor is helping patients find relief from pain, supporting their return to daily activities, and empowering them to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
Her journey into the field of chiropractic care was a dedicated and focused one. After spending three years as a kinesiology major at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, she was offered a unique opportunity to accelerate her path. She relocated to Florida and transferred to Keiser University in West Palm Beach, where she simultaneously completed her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Sciences and her doctorate. Dr. Keyariee proudly earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Keiser University, equipped with the latest knowledge and techniques in the field.
Dr. Keyariee was drawn to chiropractic because of its philosophy of natural healing. "The idea that we can help patients reach their most optimal selves by supporting the nervous system and encouraging the body to heal without relying on medication deeply resonated with me," she says. "It aligned with my belief in holistic, preventive care." This core belief is the foundation of her practice, where she provides individualized, conservative care that promotes healing and preserves the body’s natural function.

Growing up in Tacoma, Washington, in a community with limited access to healthcare, Dr. Keyariee was inspired to pursue a career of service. When she is not in the clinic, Dr. Keyariee embraces the Florida lifestyle. She enjoys staying active at the gym, hiking local trails, and relaxing at the beach. A passionate cook, she loves experimenting with diverse meals. Her other great joy is spending time with her two service dogs, Maui and Ohana, 8-year-old sisters who provide endless companionship and cuddles.
