Dr. Steve Morse joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2014 and began working at the West Caldwell clinic in 2016. He received his bachelor of science in clinical nutrition in 1983, and his doctorate of chiropractic in 1986 from Life University in Marietta, Ga.
Whether you call him Steve, Dr. Steve, or Dr. Morse, he has a wide-ranging background but enjoys being part of the chiropractic field. “I love helping people maintain their health naturally without the use of drugs or surgery,” Dr. Morse says. “There’s nothing quite like helping ease or eliminate another person’s pain.”
Among the other things Dr. Morse has done in his work life is counsel juveniles at a psychiatric institution, retail salesman, juvenile detention officer, city councilman, mortgage loan officer, and auto sales consultant.
When he has some down time, he enjoys spending it with wife Marianne, children Emmi and Jeffrey, and their two Maltese dogs, Rocky and Chloe.
He says his a-ha moment in chiropractic occurred in 1976, “when I was on vacation in Key West. My first exposure to chiropractic was two chiropractic students, and their enthusiasm overwhelmed me and lit a fire for chiropractic.”
Dr. Morse has more than 30 years of experience in chiropractic, and says the thing he likes best about being at the West Caldwell location is the people: “I love the patients and my co-workers.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Morse is a smart guy. He says the one thing he absolutely must have in his refrigerator is the light: “It’s so I can see the healthy nutritious juice that my daughter makes for me.”
If he could gather together any four people from history to comprise his ideal dinner party, Dr. Morse says he would include chiropractic founder Dwight David Palmer and his son, B.J. Palmer, who is credited with being the developer of chiropractic. His other two would be Jesus Christ and Jack LaLanne, the godfather of modern fitness (who was also a chiropractor).
He says the coolest thing he has ever done was adjust his daughter and son “when they was just 10 minutes old.”
Dr. Petrusia Kotlar is a graduate of NY Chiropractic College with over three decades of experience and believes that the pathway to wellness includes chiropractic's natural, drug-free approach to healthcare. She promotes proper nutrition, spinal stretching exercises with her "stretch of the week", organizes seasonal "mind and body retreats" for patients and community and believes all these and spinal alignment are imperative in achieving overall wellness.
When she is not working patients, she is a part time farmer, beekeeper, avid recreation volleyball player and travel blogger in search of secrets of longevity and health around the world.
Dr. John Puleo was born, raised and still resides in Northern New Jersey.
Dr. John received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer Chiropractic College in Port Orange, Florida in 2009. In addition, he received his bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Seton Hall University.
In order to best serve his patients, Dr. John is always keeping up with new techniques and practices. He has completed post-graduate studies in the fields of sports injuries and rehab, biomechanics, golf specific injuries, whiplash injuries, kinesiology and more.
In his free time, Dr. John enjoys playing golf, riding his ATV, and reading about political history, government and law. In addition to spending quality time with his family.
