For Dr. Todd Wegerski, chiropractic care is all in the family. Dr. Wegerski was originally encouraged to learn about chiropractic treatment by his brother - who is also a chiropractor in the Cary / Raleigh NC area. Dr. Wegerski completed both his undergrad and doctorate degrees in New York state. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Buffalo. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in 1997, and he moved down to North Carolina in the same year.
With an insatiable desire to learn, he also has received postgraduate chiropractic education in pediatrics, sports injuries, women’s health, and whiplash disorders and acupuncture. He sees himself as a life-long student and do what he can to never stop learning. All of this just allows him to better look at your overall total health profile and take that into consideration with your treatment and progress. Some chiropractors may truly only be knowledgeable with chiropractic care itself, and they may struggle to identify certain issues related to other areas of the body. With his broad-scope of knowledge, Dr. Wegerski is ready to help you face and treat any issues you may have.
Dr. Wegerski has focused his practice on exercise and the non-surgical treatment and management of neck and back pain in the North Raleigh NC area. For him, surgery and other invasive procedures are the very last option they want for you. Through chiropractic care and careful management, he tries to eliminate all aches and pains in as natural a way as possible. One of the focuses for Dr. Wegerski is using proper exercise movement as a treatment for back and other pains. It’s important to him that he work with your healthcare as a whole, making sure to keep the whole picture in view at all times. More invasive medical approaches can leave you out of commission for a long time and cause long-term issues that you likely wouldn’t have had otherwise, it’s something you really only want to do if it’s critical which sometimes it certainly is.
Dr. Wegerski not only pulls duty as a chiropractor for The Joint Chiropractic in the North Raleigh NC location, but he is also heavily involved behind the scenes at a number of Joint locations. He currently oversees and manages 6 of The Joint offices in the NC Triangle area, doing work ranging from creating policies, recruiting and training new doctors, and making sure all clinics are up to his high standards so that we can best treat anyone that may come in our doors.
During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family. He has two children, Alexa and Andrew. His daughter Alexa currently works as a Wellness Coordinator for The Joint Chiropractic Morrisville location. Still involved in athletics, he is active in the community coaching youth teams, as well as playing softball and hockey himself. He knows the importance of a healthy lifestyle and really does his best to promote that in his own life. You have to practice what you preach if you really want people to be able to trust you. He enjoys good music, good food, and craft beer. He and his family currently reside in the Raleigh NC Triangle area, close to the North Raleigh office and all of the other once that he works at.
For Dr. Tyson Devereux, chiropractic care is all about having the skills and tools he needs to help people wherever he may go, after serving as a missionary for two years he knows the true value and meaning of helping others and just how rewarding that is. Dr. Devereux completed his undergrad at Boise State and his graduate studies at Parker University. Health sciences have always been the main interest for him, it goes right in hand with his lifelong passion for helping others. Dr. Devereux is newer to the Cary Joint location, having started working with us in June of 2019. It’s been a pleasure to have him, we can tell we made a good choice.
His studies into health sciences as a whole have allowed him to picture the body as a whole unit, not just working to make a problem go away but thinking about the long-term effects and results that a manipulation can cause. It’s so crucial that you don’t sacrifice your health for short-term relief or results, when you work with the Joint you know that you are going to be on a plan that’s been planned out and will be executed with extreme skill and compassion. Some issues take time and careful planning to fix, that’s just the reality of it.
Owning and working in his own practice in Idaho has allowed him to learn how to really be part of a community and understand the business-customer relationship as a whole. It also means he knows how to educate and treat patients from all walks of life, from children to the elderly. Among the many chiropractic techniques, he specializes in Diversified, Thompson, and Activator techniques. Dr. Devereux knows the importance of variety when it comes to medical approaches, sometimes you just need different approaches to solve different problems. Everyone that comes in the Cary Joint location is unique.
Dr. Devereux knows the importance of being a part of and supporting your local community, you form bonds with people and are there to watch one another’s backs. He loved his time holding leadership positions in scouting and churches, working with children and young adults and teaching them how to be better people. An ideal dinner party with four people from the past for Dr. Deveruex would include George Washington, Joseph Smith JR., Martin Luther King JR., and Jackie Robinson. One must-have side dish for him would be pikles, a Hattian side-dish made of shredded cabbage, carrots, seasonings, and a good habanero spice. His favorite hobbies include drawing, gardening, waching movies, and spending time with his wife and children. He did recently travel out of the country for the first time to the Bahamas, and had an incredible experience going to a new place and meeting new people. If you’re looking for a skilled and compassionate chiropractor, you should come see Dr. Devereux at the Cary Joint!
