Dr. Wesley Cavanaugh became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s family of local chiropractors in 2016, and joined the Rocky River location in 2019. A graduate of California State University San Bernardino, where he graduated summa cum laude with bachelor’s degrees in accounting and computer science before earning his doctorate of chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Ore.
“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is seeing the looks on the faces of my patients after a great treatment,” Dr. Cavanaugh says. “It’s gratifying knowing I’m doing something meaningful to help my fellow man.”
A product of Southern California, Dr. Cavanaugh worked in Orange, Calif., and Lafayette, Colo., before landing in Fairview Park.
He and wife Tiffiny, who have known each other since they were 8 years old, enjoy doing various things together, including reading, playing tennis, skiing, and hiking: “We love to explore the natural beauty of northeast Ohio.”
Dr. Cavanaugh says his first-hand knowledge of the power of chiropractic led him into the field.
“I had severe neck pain and headaches as a child,” he says. “I went to the chiropractor and was amazed at how much better I felt after just one adjustment. I realized it was my calling to become a chiropractor and help people with migraines, neck pain, mid-back pain, low-back pain, sciatica, and more.”
He loves working at the Rocky River location “because of the incredibly friendly population of the Cleveland area.”

Dr. Cavanaugh says the one thing he always keeps handy in his refrigerator is French vanilla coffee creamer: “I can’t stand coffee without it.”
If he could bring together any four persons from history for a dream dinner party, Dr. Cavanaugh would have a somewhat eclectic invitation list. “Will Smith and Meryl Streep because they’re my favorite actor and actress and I’d want to bask in their presence,” he says. “Chiropractic founder DD Palmer because I’d like to pick his brain about how chiropractic has changed since its inception, and former first lady Barbara because I was always impressed with her compassion and wisdom.”
Dr. Cavanaugh says the coolest thing he has ever done was part of celebrating a great milestone in his life. “I went bungee jumping after I finished my last final in college,” he says. “The adrenaline rush was amazing.”
Dr. Stephen Esdinsky joined The Joint Chiropractic’s network of local healthcare providers in 2019 when he joined the team at the Rocky River location. He received his doctorate of chiropractic in 2005 from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa.
Dr. Steve, as he likes to be called, worked previously in Parma before he began practice in Fairview Park.
“The thing I love about chiropractic is being able to help people get well and pain-free through an adjustment,” he says.
In his spare time, he enjoys reading, watching movies, and hiking when the Ohio weather is agreeable.
Dr. Steve says his experience as a youngster led him to the chiropractic path. “I had asthma, allergies, and constant bouts of tonsillitis that always had me going to the doctor,” he says. “I was always getting sick as a child, and chiropractic adjustments helped a great deal. They also helped when I started getting migraines when I turned 16.
“That’s why I wanted to become a chiropractor.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Steve says the one thing he always keeps in his refrigerator is cheese. If he could bring together any four people to create a dream dinner party, he would include chef Michael Symon, comedian Robin Williams, media mogul Oprah Winfrey, and developer of chiropractic BJ Palmer.
“Michael Symon could do the cooking, and I’d like to talk to Robin Williams because he was the best and there isn’t anyone like him,” Dr. Steve says. “I’d talk to BJ Palmer about chiropractic and adjusting. It sounds strange, but I want to talk to Oprah about how she became so successful and how she stays positive all the time.
